Since it was founded in 1945, Branksome
China has become renowned for producing well-designed tableware and superbly
modelled porcelain animal studies. The finished china is a unique high
fired porcelain which is very light and thin yet extremely hard and durable.
It is safe to use in microwaves, dishwashers and ovens.
The China is still produced using hand-casting and jollying methods. All
of the processes – from mould-making to glazing – are done by
hand and are explained fully in the fascinating tour. All patterns are
hand-painted and signed by Branksome China’s own artists.
