Things to do in BrockenhurstA favourite haunt for both visitors and locals is the riverside car park by the Balmer Lawn Hotel. To the North of the village is New Park which is the annual home of the New Forest Show held in July and is well worth visiting. The local churchyard contains a 1000 year old Yew which some believe to be the oldest tree in the forest. The Rhinefield Ornamental Drive is worth a visit, especially when the
rhododendrons are in bloom in the spring. There are many walks across
the open forest for everyone to enjoy and bikes can easily be hired near
the station for a ride through the forest. In the village itself you could
always stop and watch the trains at the level crossing or the cars drive
through The Splash!
