“Friends” Fete and Hospital Open Day - Lymington
The League of Friends of Lymington New Forest Hospital has arranged an inaugural event in the hospital grounds to welcome members of the community to see over the hospital and learn of the achievements and ambitions of the League.
Between 2pm and 5pm there will be a variety of stalls providing entertainment and fun for all the family. Cream teas, local produce, home made cakes, plants, books and bric-a-brac will be on sale and children’s attractions include a bouncy castle, beat the goalie, face painting and much more. A jazz band will be playing throughout the afternoon.
By kind permission of the hospital management, guided tours of the hospital, conducted by some of the volunteers that regularly show patients and visitors to the clinics and wards, will be arranged at the League of Friends’ own stand.
The event is intended to raise the profile of the League of Friends and also to raise funds, thus helping to ensure that the funding of new equipment and the continuity of the services provided at the hospital will continue into the future for the benefit of patients.
Admission will be £1 for adults with children free. Car parking for the afternoon is free of charge. 2-5pm
